Elder Abuse Study:
Research Study: Older Adult Relationships and Safety Survey
The UCI Program in Geriatrics is conducting a study that will develop a new survey to help understand how older Americans are treated by those they hold in a position of trust. The study will be conducted as a home visit, and will consist of an interview and a questionnaire. If you participate, you will be paid $30.00.
The specific criteria used to determine eligiblity are:
- At least 65 or older
- Older adults with memory problems are especially welcome to participate with a family member if needed
- English-speaking non-Hispanic Whites
- English or Spanish-speaking Mexicans or Mexican Americans
- Live in a community, rather than in an institution
