  Support Group for Frontal Temporal Dementia and Lewy Body Dementia

   UCI MIND provides a unique resource for families with a loved one diagnosed with Frontal Temporal Dementia and Lewy Body Dementia by offering the only support group for families and caregivers in Orange County.  These specialized dementias have their unique challenges and needs for family members and caregivers.  Often times, these families are very frustrated about the lack of resources and do not fit in with most Alzheimer’s Disease support groups.  The group meets twice a month to provide a forum for caregivers to learn and share with one another as they seek resources, cope with challenges, and seek support to help provide their loved ones with the best care and information possible.  Currently the group has over 100 members, but in a given month about 25-30 individuals will attend regularly.  UCI MIND is looked to as a community resource and without this support group available, many of the families who benefit from this resource would be left without help.  For more information about this group, please contact:
